This diabetic patient came to an emergency room because his 2nd toe turned black. He further said he stepped on a rusty dirty nail at work and did not feel any pain. He had a rusty nail stuck in the foot until he took his shoe off. He did not feel much pain so he did not pay much attention until a few days later when he noticed dusky black 2nd toe and some pus from the bottom of the foot. He came to the emgency room.
He lost his second toe and a vacuum suction device was applied on the open wound in order to remove more pus deep in the foot structures.
